How do I get started?

The first step is a free intro call. We'll discuss your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your Fitness Strategy Session. After that, I can customize your first steps and we schedule your first coaching session.

Why Do You Require An Intro Call First?

The discovery call is a chance for us to get to know each other before moving forward.

We'll discuss your goals, exercise history, current challenges, and what you're hoping to achieve. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about my coaching approach.

This conversation helps ensure that my services are the right fit for your needs before investing in a Fitness Strategy Session.

who do you work with?

I primarily work with adults in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond who want to build strength, improve mobility, regain confidence, and stay active and independent.

What Happens During The Fitness Strategy Session?

This is a 60 minute session where we can establish your baseline fitness. This allows me to see where you're currently at and design an appropriate starting-point for your workouts. It also gives you a way to see your progress.

We'll discuss your health history, goals, exercise experience, and current challenges. I'll also assess your strength, mobility, balance, and movement patterns so we can create a personalized plan.

Do I need to be fit before i start?

Not at all. Many of my clients are returning to exercise after months or years away and are looking for guidance on how to get started safely.

Can I Work With You If I Have Arthritis Or A Chronic Health Condition?

In many cases, yes. My background in nursing and specialty fitness certifications allows me to work with many individuals managing chronic conditions. We will discuss your health history during our initial conversation to determine whether coaching is appropriate. Sometimes medical clearance or a discharge note from PT is needed first.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are about 60 minutes long. This gives adequate time for a check-in, warm-up, workout with appropriate rest periods, and cool-down.

how often should i train?

That depends on your goals, schedule, and fitness level. During your strategy session, we'll discuss the option that makes the most sense for you.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place in your home, outdoors, or at another agreed-upon location.

Do I need equipment?

I bring the necessary equipment for sessions. If you have your own equipment, I’m happy to incorporate it. Having your own exercise/yoga mat is helpful for hygiene reasons. I always bring antibacterial wipes for the equipment anyway.

How Much Space Do I Need?

A small clear area is enough. Garages, basements, living rooms, patios, and driveways all work well. The area should be free of obstacles and should have an approximate radius of 1.5 x your height.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. Couples training may be available depending on goals, schedules, and training needs.

Do You Provide Nutrition Guidance?

I’m happy to offer general guidance and support healthy habits as part of the overall coaching process.

What if I’m sick, traveling or need to cancel??

Consistency is important, but I understand that life doesn't always go according to plan.

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Whenever possible, I'll work with you to find an alternative time.

If you're traveling or away for an extended period, we can discuss options to help you maintain momentum until we resume our regular schedule.

What about pets or young children?

For safety, pets and small children should not be in the workout space during sessions. This allows us to train effectively and avoid injuries.

Do you offer One-off sessions?

Every new client begins with a Fitness Strategy Session. This allows me to understand your goals, assess your current fitness level, and provide personalized recommendations.

While my primary focus is ongoing coaching through monthly programs, individual sessions may be available on a limited basis for former clients or specific needs.

Is there a long-term contract or Commitment?

No. However, most clients achieve their best results with a minimum three-month commitment. Most clients stay with me many months and sometimes years, depending on their needs and budget.

Most clients start with 1 session per week for the first month, then they increase to 2 sessions a week for 2-4 months, then they reduce back to maintenance at 1 session per week for as long as they want.

I will not do any hard selling. That's not my style 🙂
