Personal Training For Youth

Strength & Conditioning (Ages 10–16)

Getting kids and teens started with strength training can be challenging. Many lose interest quickly, feel overwhelmed, or end up repeating the same workouts that don’t hold their attention.

My approach is simple: build strength in a way that’s structured, engaging, and easy to stick with.

Who This Is For

  • Tweens or teens who aren't into sports but want to get strong
  • Youth who struggle to stay consistent
  • Those who have tried training before but got bored
  • Active kids (sports, martial arts, etc.) who want to build strength
  • Parents looking for a safe, structured way to support their child

How I Approach Training

Sessions are designed to keep things moving while still building real progress over time.

We focus on:

  • Strength fundamentals (pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting)
  • Coordination and body awareness
  • Gradual progression without overwhelm
  • Keeping sessions varied and engaging

The goal is not to exhaust them. It’s to help them feel capable, confident, and willing to come back.

What a Session Looks Like

  • 45-minute sessions
  • A mix of strength work, movement, and simple challenges
  • Clear structure with enough variety to keep it interesting
  • Adjusted in real time based on how they’re responding

I begin with a short block of sessions to make sure it’s a good fit and that your child enjoys the process.

FAQs

Do you have experience working with kids?
Yes. My approach is structured but adaptable, which works well for kids and teens who need both guidance and engagement. Sessions are adjusted based on the individual, not a fixed plan.

Is strength training safe for kids?
Yes, when done properly. Sessions are age-appropriate and focused on technique, control, and gradual progression rather than intensity.

What if my child gets bored easily?
This is common, and it’s something I specifically plan for. Sessions are structured but varied, with clear progressions and enough change to keep them engaged.

Do I need to be present during the session?
A parent or guardian should be home and accessible during sessions. You do not need to actively participate, but being nearby is important for supervision and communication.

Do I need to sign anything before we start?
Yes. A parent or guardian will complete a short intake form, consent, and waiver prior to the first session.

How quickly will we see results?
The initial focus is consistency and engagement. As that builds, improvements in strength, coordination, and confidence follow.

What if my child has an injury or medical condition?
Please share any relevant information in advance. Sessions can be adjusted, and in some cases medical clearance may be recommended.

Can parents join the sessions?
The primary focus is on your child’s training. If you’re interested in training as well, we can discuss options separately.

What happens after the initial 4 sessions?
If it’s a good fit, most clients continue with a consistent weekly session. This provides structure while keeping the workload manageable.

If you’re looking for a straightforward, sustainable way to help your child build strength and confidence, this is a good place to start.
